National ICT Australia (NICTA) Student Fellowship

We are pleased to announce the National ICT Australia (NICTA) Student Fellowships to further reduce the cost of student participation in RSS 2012.

Each student attendee is eligible to apply for funds to help defray the cost of participation at RSS 2012. To apply you must register for the conference by 1 June 2012 and indicate your interest in applying for a fellowship through the registration form. An outline of your reasons for wishing to attend RSS 2012 and an overview of your current research and a list of recent publications will be used by the Organizing Committee to select fellowship winners.

Priority will be given as follows:

  • Students whose papers have been selected as award finalists
  • Students who are authors on accepted RSS papers
  • Students who are presenters in one of the workshops
  • Students who are attending RSS without presenting a paper or workshop

Fellowship recipients will receive funds towards travel costs and complementary accommodation in one of the University's colleges. Students selected to receive a fellowship are expected to present their work at a special session to be held on Friday, July 13th at the NICTA Sydney campus which is in close proximity to the conference venue.

You will be able to claim your travel funds at the RSS 2012 registration desk. The exact amount of funds you receive will depend on the number of qualified applicants and successful applicants will be notified of their entitlement by June 15th 2012.

We are grateful to Prof. Hugh Durrant-Whyte and National ICT Australia for their support of RSS 2012.
